Computed Tomography, or CT, is a non-invasive medical test used to evaluate complex anatomic structures such as lungs, bones, soft tissues and blood vessels. CT uses an x-ray beam that rotates 360º around the patient, capturing multiple pictures – or “slices” – with each cycle. Powerful computer algorithms can reconstruct the collected data in many useful ways including angiography and 3D reconstruction.
